How to cook butternut squash

Butternut squash is similar to a pumpkin so it is also known as butternut pumpkin in some places and it has a sweet taste. It is also known as winter squash as it has yellow skin and orange pulp like the actual one although they grow in summer. It looks like a big nut from the outside and from the inside it is like a mango and the bottom looks like the inside of a pumpkin. Even the bottom part has seeds that resembles the seeds of pumpkins. It is so really good for the body and particularly those with vision problems. It has so much vitamin A that you cannot find in other fruits or vegetables. It also has a high content of Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

here is how you can boil butternut squash

Step 1: Poke holes with your knife in the butternut squash and do not worry about the juice falling off. Put it in the oven for 60 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It also matters on the size of the vegetable.

Step 2: Use the knife again to cut through the center. It is going to be hot so be careful and get a spoon to scoop out the seeds.

Step 3: If you do not want to spend one hour and you want to get them done quickly you need to put a little bit more strength and cut through the center. Then, put in the oven like you did and make the time into 30 minutes. It is going to be hard to cut one that has not been boiled.

Step 4: Cut them into two parts and scoop out the seeds. Sprinkle salt and pepper according to your wish. Add your favorite spice such as cinnamon and put them in the oven.

Step 5: If you are not alright with the big pieces, you can cut them into cubes just like you cut potatoes into cubes. First of all, peel the skin off and cut the top and bottom part off. Simple, start cutting them into slices and into cubes. Sprinkle them with olive oil and salt and pepper and put them in the oven for 30 minutes.

Step 6: If your baking oven is not working you can use the microwave oven. Poke the vegetable and cut it in half. Make sure you get a bowl that can be put in the microwave oven. Put it in the oven for five minutes. Scoop out the seeds and put them back in again for ten minutes.

How you make roasted butternut squash

ingredients

1 pound of butternut squash

3 tablespoons of unsalted butter

1 cup chicken broth

Directions

Let the butter melt in a pan while you cut the vegetable into cubes. Put them on the pan and cook for over 15 minutes and pour all the chicken broth and stir. Keep them on the stove on low flame before you take them out.
