Kale is a beautiful green vegetable that lies in the same family as the other leafy vegetables like cabbage and lettuce. It is a great vegetable to have because not only does it come with nutrients of a green leafy vegetable but is protects from many kinds of cancers. It is loaded with vitamin A, vitamin k and vitamin C. It even has other things like Vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium, copper etc. in small amounts in just 2 ounces of it. It is not just a source of Vitamin K; it is the best source of it. Here is how to cook kale.

Directions: 

Step 1: Start by picking out fresh kale. Make sure they are gentle, crunchy and dark green in color. Do not get the ones that are not fresh or yellowish. Some can be lenient and soggy, ignore them and ask the salesperson for the freshly arrived kale. They are beautiful leaves with big and hard stems.

Step 2: The next step is to cut the kale into perfect pieces so that they are ready to cook. You have to get rid of the stem unlike broccoli, where we keep the stem. You have to get rid of the stem in the middle of leaves since they are rock solid as well. Twist the kale into a roll and cut them into small pieces. Put them in water.

Step 3: Leave the kale to get dry while you add olive oil in a sauce pan. Add the kale in the pan and stir gently. There will be a sizzling sound and it is perfectly normal. Move the kale pieces over the pan and sprinkle salt and freshly grounded black pepper. Squeeze a small piece of lemon over it and stir.

Step 4: After you see that it becomes soft, you will know that it is done. Transfer the vegetable in a clean bowl. It is time you make it cheesy by adding Parmesan cheese.

Directions: 

Step 1: Cut your kale and wash them properly since they have dirt in them. Add olive oil in pan while they are left to dry.

Step 2: Cut up a small portion of garlic and cut it into more small cubes so that it is easy to cook and is more delicious to eat. Let it sit on the olive oil for at least ten seconds.

Step 3: Add the kale and stir. Sprinkle salt and black pepper according to your taste. Stir over medium flame. Take the pieces that are on the bottom to the surface of the pan so that the kale is cooked throughout.

Tips: 

To make it tastier, some people add sesame seeds or sesame oil.

Make sure you are not overcooking or burning it.

You will know you are cooking it the right way if you see the volume is slowly decreasing and the hard leaves are turning tender.
